On April 30, the Sunday of the Myrrh-bearing Women, Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America & New York performed an archpastoral visit to Holy Myrrhbearers Church in Brooklyn, NY, where he celebrated Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the parish’s patronal feast.
Concelebrating with the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad were: Archpriests Serge Lukianov (dean of New Jersey), Paul Ivanov (parish rector), Serge Ledkovsky (deputy rector of St. Vladimir Memorial Church in Jackson, NJ), and Vasily Yurina (parish cleric), Protodeacon Leonid Roschko (cleric of St. Vladimir Memorial Church), Hierodeacon Panteleimon (Jigalin; diocesan cleric), and Deacon Fiodor Tulbur (parish cleric).

Many parishioners with children came to honor the memory of the Holy Myrrhbearers and venerate the Protectress of the Russian Diaspora.
Upon conclusion of Liturgy, Metropolitan Nicholas congratulated the clergy and faithful with the ongoing days of Pascha and their patronal feast and delivered a sermon on the life and labors of the Holy Myrrhbearers.
The rector thanked the First Hierarch and visiting clergy for their shared prayers. The sisterhood organized a Paschal luncheon in the parish hall.
