On Tuesday, July 12, the feast of the Holy Leaders of the Apostles Peter and Paul, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Luke of Syracuse celebrated Divine Liturgy in Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY.

Serving alongside His Grace were monastery and visiting clergy. During Divine Liturgy, with the blessing of Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal & Canada, Bishop Luke ordained Deacon Valentin Lossev (cleric of the Diocese of Canada) to the holy priesthood.

Upon conclusion of Liturgy, Bishop Luke delivered a sermon, after which he congratulated the new cleric, offering him his prayers that his pastoral labors in Canada be fruitful and well-pleasing to God.
