The trip entered the history of our parish community as the 17th annual pilgrimage to the "Lavra" of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. The purpose of the pilgrimage was to pray at the grave of Brother Jose Muñoz-Cortes, custodian of the myrrh-streaming Montreal-Iveron Icon of the Mother of God, who was murdered in Athens in 1997

On Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, paid an archpastoral visit to St. John of Kronstadt Memorial Church in Utica, NY, and led the parish’s patronal feast day.

On Tuesday, November 3, the feast day of Venerable Schemamonk Hilarion of the Caves, clergy and faithful gathered in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City for the Divine Liturgy and to congratulate their archpastor, who was celebrating his namesday

On Tuesday the 3rd and Wednesday the 4th of November, the feast day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, led the All-Night Vigil and Divine Liturgy for the patronal feast day of Our Lady of Kazan Church in Newark, NJ.

On Friday, November 6, the feast of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow," Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York paid an archpastoral visit to Joy of All Who Sorrow Church in Philadelphia, PA, and celebrated the Divine Liturgy for the parish’s patronal feast day.

On Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of November, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, vicar of the Eastern American Diocese, paid an archpastoral visit to Our Lady "Joy of All Who Sorrow" Church in Atlanta, GA, where he blessed its cemetery chapel and led the celebrations in honor of the parish’s patronal feast day.

On Sunday, November 8, the feast day of the Holy Great-Martyr Demetrius the Myrrh-Gusher, Divine Liturgy in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City was celebrated by Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York.

On Saturday, November 14, the feast day of the Holy Unmercenaries and Wonderworkers Cosmas & Damian, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, visited Sts. Cosmas & Damian Church in Passaic, NJ with the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God, and celebrated the Divine Liturgy for the parish’s patronal feast day.

On Sunday, November 15, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, vicar of the Eastern American Diocese, celebrated Divine Liturgy in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City. A mixed choir of 40 singers performed the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom by P.I. Tchaikovsky, under the direction of Peter Fekula.

On Thursday, November 26, Priest Gregoire Legouté, cleric of the Russian Orthodox Mission in Haiti and rector of the parish of Ven. Moses the Black in Fontamara, was laid to rest in Port au Prince, Haiti. His funeral was served by Priest Jean Chenier-Dumais...
