Jordanville, NY: Bishop Luke elevates Hieromonk Michael (Crowley), Bishop-Elect of Boston, to Rank of Archimandrite

On February 8, the Sunday of the Prodigal Son and that of the New Martyrs & Confessors of Russia, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Luke of Syracuse, celebrated Divine Liturgy in Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY.

At the Little Entrance, with the blessing of Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America & New York and in accordance with the resolution of the Synod of Bishops, Hieromonk Michael (Crowley; Bishop-elect of Boston) was elevated to the rank of abbot and then to the rank of archimandrite, and presented the miter; Hieromonk Spyridon (Gusakov; Bishop-elect of Toronto) was then raised to the rank abbot, awarded the palitsa and jeweled cross, then elevated to the rank of archimandrite and presented the miter.

9:00 AM – Divine Liturgy and hierarchal consecration of Archimandrite Spyridon as Bishop of Toronto.

Friday, February 13

6:00 AM – Hierarchal Liturgy to be celebrated by Bishop Spyridon of Toronto.

Saturday, February 14
(Blue vestments)

5:00 PM – Nomination of Archimandrite Michael as Bishop of Boston.
7:00 PM – All-Night Vigil

Sunday, February 15 – Meeting of the Lord, Meatfare Sunday
(Blue vestments)

9:00 AM – Divine Liturgy and hierarchal consecration of Archimandrite Michael as Bishop of Boston.

Monday, February 16 – Holy Equal-of-the-Apostles Nicholas of Japan

6:00 AM – Hierarchal Liturgy to be celebrated by Bishop Michael of Boston.
