On Saturday, July 12, feast day of the Holy Supreme Leaders of the Apostles Peter and Paul, Scoutmaster-Subdeacon Lazar Djurdjinovic, longtime warden of Holy Fathers Church in New York City reposed in the Lord.
Subdeacon Lazar served the holy altar for 45 years. He was honored by a special obedience given to him by Metropolitan Philaret, to clean the riza of the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon twice a year: for Pascha and for its patronal feast day, December 10.

Tuesday, July 15: 8:00 PM ‒ Panihida at Novo-Diveevo Convent ‒ 100 Smith Road, Nanuet, NY.
Wednesday, July 16: 1:00 PM ‒ Funeral, followed by burial at Novo-Diveevo Convent.
Following the interment, a memorial repast will be held at La Terrazza ‒ 291 S Main Street, New City, NY.
