On Sunday, June 8, the great feast of Holy Pentecost, Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America & New York paid an archpastoral visit to Holy Trinity Church in Vineland, NJ, where he officiated the All-Night Vigil and celebrated the festal Divine Liturgy in honor of the parish’s patronal feast.
Serving alongside the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad were: parish rector Archpriest Ljubo Milosevic, parish cleric Archpriest Luka Novakovic, and Protodeacon Eugene Kallaur (cleric of St. Seraphim Memorial Church in Sea Cliff, NY).
At the Little Entrance, for the many years of dedicated service to the Church and the parish, Fr. Ljubo was awarded the right the wear the miter.
The church was beautifully decorated with flowers, leaves, and branches.
Upon conclusion of Liturgy, Metropolitan Nicholas congratulated everyone with the feast and addressed the faithful with a sermon thereon, and also presented those in attendance with small icons ‒ a blessing from the Holy Land.
His Eminence then officiated Great Vespers with the reading of Kneeling Prayers.
After the service, a festal meal was held in the parish hall.
The next day, June 9, the feast of the Holy Spirit, Archpriest Serge Lukianov (dean of New Jersey) celebrated Divine Liturgy in Holy Trinity Church, co-served by: Archpriest Vasily Andrejuk (cleric of St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Howell, NJ), Fr. Ljubo, Abbot Eutychius (Dovgan; cleric of St. Vladimir Memorial Church in Jackson, NJ), Archpriest Leonid Goferman (rector of Holy Virgin Protection Church in New Brunswick, NJ), Archpriest Valery Sukholobov (rector of Joy of All Who Sorrow Church in Philadelphia, PA), Archpriest Serge Ledkovsky (deputy rector of St. Vladimir Memorial Church), and Protodeacon Paul Drozdowski (cleric of St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral).
After Liturgy, the parish sisterhood prepared a meal for all those present.
