Florida: Procession through West Florida Neighborhoods, Suburbs ahead of Hurricane Milton

As was reported, Hurricane Milton approached the state of Florida, and, according to weather forecasters, was slated to bring destruction and danger to the lives of local residents.

In connection with this, the brethren of Our Lady of Pochaev Church in North Port ‒ rector Archimandrite Stefan (Khilchuk), Hieromonk Arkadii (Polishchuk), Hierodeacon Paisius (Alexeevets), and Alexis Stepanov ‒ drove around the city of North Port and other nearby towns and villages that were under threat from the effects of the hurricane.

For this, the brethren took with them a cross with a piece of the True Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, the Pochaev & Kursk Root Icons of the Mother of God, as well as icons with particles of the relics of the Holy Hierarch John of Shanghai, Patriarch Tikhon the Confessor, and Venerable Sergius of Radonezh (whose feast fell on this day).

While traveling around the cities, the brethren served prayers with akathists to the Sweetest Jesus, the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God, St. John of Shanghai, and other the saints who have shone forth throughout the ages. The brethren prayed to the Lord to send His mercy and blessing to the church, to all people, and their homes.
