On May 19, the Sunday of the Myrrh-bearing Women, with the blessing of Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America & New York, Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal & Canada performed an archpastoral visit to Holy Myrrhbearers Church in Brooklyn, NY, where he celebrated Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the parish’s patronal feast.

Concelebrating with His Eminence were: Archpriests Serge Lukianov (dean of New Jersey), Paul Ivanov (parish rector), and Serge Ledkovsky (deputy rector of St. Vladimir Memorial Church in Jackson, NJ), and Deacons Alexandre Sarandinaki (cleric of St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Howell, NJ) and Fiodor Tulbur (parish cleric).

Masterfully singing at Liturgy was the parish youth choir "Pohvala" under the direction of Gregory Ivanov.

Many parishioners came with their children to honor the memory of the Holy Myrrhbearers.

The day was warm and sunny, and upon conclusion of Liturgy, a procession was held around the church and neighborhood.

Archbishop Gabriel greeted the clergy and faithful with the ongoing days of Pascha and their patronal feast and delivered a sermon on the life and labors of the Holy Myrrhbearers.

А outdoor luncheon was organized for all on church grounds.
