On Thursday, December 28, after a serious illness, Hieromonk Alexander (Lisnichuk), cleric of St. Mary of Egypt Church in Atlanta, GA reposed in the Lord. He was 60 years old.

Fr. Alexander was born on June 5, 1963 in Kiev to Anatoliy and Lesya Lisnichuk. On October 23, 2009 he was ordained to the diaconate and on October 24, 2010 to the priesthood, both times by Metropolitan Hilarion (Kapral; +2022) of blessed memory. He was a gifted musician by trade until accepting the monastic tonsure on Ascension 2015. Additional biographical information will be posted as it is received.

Saturday, December 30 ‒ Hours at 8:40AM. Divine Liturgy at 9:00 AM. Funeral at 11:30 AM.

Interment at Glorious Ascension Monastery ‒ 5052 S Dixie Highway, Resaca, GA 30735.

All-Night Vigil at 5:00 PM. Memorial repast to follow in parish hall.
