Wayne, WV: Monastic Tonsure on Feast of Entry of the Mother of God into the Temple in Holy Cross Monastery
On Sunday, December 3, the eve of the great feast of the Entry into the Temple of the Most Holy Theotokos, the All-Night Vigil was served in Holy Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV.
At the end of the First Hour, the service of the tonsure to the Lesser Schema was performed by monastery abbot Archimandrite Seraphim (Voepel). Rassaphore-monk Ephraim (Scafidi) was tonsured and given the name Moses (after St. Moses the Hungarian).
May the Lord, through the intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, guide the new monk on his path to salvation!
