On Sunday, September 24, the afterfeast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Luke of Syracuse, paid an archpastoral visit to the eponymous church in Albany, NY on the occasion of their recent patronal feast.
His Grace celebrated Divine Liturgy, co-served by: Archpriest Michael Fritz (parish cleric), Archimandrite Theophylact (Clapper-DeWell; cleric of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY), Archpriest Alexis Duncan (parish rector), Hieromonk Anatoly (Zilin; cleric of Holy Trinity Monastery), and Protodeacons Michael Soloviev & Nikifor Franklin (parish clerics).
A multitude of parishioners prayed at the divine services, most of whom communed of Christ’s Holy Mysteries at Liturgy.
Upon completion of Liturgy, Bishop Luke and the clergy and faithful held a procession around the church.
A banquet was then held, where many congratulatory messages were read and interaction continued throughout the day.
