On Friday evening, September 15, a concert entitled "Bells, Choirs & Resounding Virtuosity" was held at the Christ Episcopal Church in Cooperstown, NY, beginning the celebrations dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Holy Trinity Seminary in Jordanville, NY.
The concert was attended by Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America & New York, Metropolitan Saba of the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America, seminary rector Bishop Luke of Syracuse, clergy, alumni, students and guests.
Seminary dean Dr. Nicolas Schidlovsky greeted all those in attendance, thanking them for their unwavering support of Holy Trinity Seminary during this jubilee year.
Opening the concert was a selection of liturgical music by the Osanna Chamber Ensemble under the direction of John Arlievsky. Timothy Morrow then provided a riveting engagement of reflections from Russia, France, and North America on the piano. The seminary choir, under the direction of Deacon Nicholas Kotar, concluded the evening with harmonious singing of liturgical music from the Divine Liturgy. The evening was adorned by a special recording of the bells of Holy Trinity Monastery by Readers John Keller, Nicholas Pavuk, and Yevgraf Jakimowicz.
The choristers were lauded by thunderous applause from the audience at the end of the evening.
