On Sunday, June 25, the Apostolic Mission of Christ, under the protection of the Holy Apostles, in Miami, FL, celebrated the 40th anniversary of its founding. His Eminence, Metropolitan Jonah (Paffhausen), paid an archpastoral visit to the parish in honor of the event, and celebrated Divine Liturgy.

Serving alongside His Eminence at Liturgy were: Archpriest Peter Jackson (parish rector), Hieromonk Felipe (Balingit; cleric of the ROCOR Philippines Mission), Hieromonk Kenneth (Alonso; rector of St. Mary Magdalene Chapel in Madeira Beach, FL), Deacon Stefan Stoyanov (diocesan cleric).

Upon conclusion of Liturgy, with the blessing of His Eminence Nicholas, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, diocesan gramotas were presented to Subdeacon-Monk Peter (Medina), Dr. Pamela Latham, and Cyril (Charles) Weber for their many contributions to the life of the parish. Recognition was also given to Mother Miriam Bukawyn for her diligent work throughout the history of our mission.
