On Saturday, May 13, His Eminence Nicholas, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, participated in the festive reception for the enthronement of His Eminence, Metropolitan Saba, as primate of the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America.
In his greeting, Metropolitan Nicholas recalled the missionary efforts of the Holy Hierarchs Tikhon of Moscow and Raphael of Brooklyn, and wished Metropolitan Saba God’s aid in his new duties and further fruitful cooperation between the Russian and Antiochian Churches in the American land. Metropolitan Nicholas then gave Metropolitan Saba a jubilee cross and panagia made to mark the 100th anniversary of the Russian Church Abroad, inviting him to visit the Synodal residence in New York City.
After the reception, Metropolitan Nicholas returned to the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign, where he served the resurrectional All-Night Vigil.
