Teaching positions are currently open in Paideia Classical Academy in Coconut Creek, FL, the only Orthodox K-12 school in Florida. The Academy is a school fully committed to the classical Orthodox tenets of child education and rearing, and operates with the blessing of His Grace Nicholas, Bishop of Manhattan.

Entering its eleventh year of operation, the Academy is currently looking to expand its team with the following:

Full-time Classical Teacher: a full-time multidisciplinary, multi-stage (6th through 12th grade) teacher, with a focus on science and math. Preferred applicants will be Christ-centered individuals with prior experience teaching multiple classroom subjects to students of different ages. While knowledge of classical teaching methods is preferred, we will also welcome as applicants scholars and life-long lovers and pursuers of knowledge and wisdom. Candidates must be detail-oriented; they should aim toward mastery of some of the following subjects: math (algebra, geometry, advanced math, calculus) and sciences (middle school and high school: physics, chemistry, biology, and anatomy). Mastery of other subjects would be a plus. In addition, they should have strong classroom management skills and be very well organized. Full-time Multidisciplinary Preschool (Early Childhood 2-4-year-olds) Teacher: Preferred applicants will be Christ-centered individuals with prior experience teaching preschool students. Applicants must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development to ensure a loving, stimulating, and safe classroom environment where individual children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults. Minimum qualifications: 1) Bachelor's Degree; 2) 45 hours or completion of the 45 hours within 90 days of employment; 3) Child Development Associate (CDA) or degree in early education; 4) Two years experience working in a preschool setting; 5) Current certificate for the four-hour first-aid and four-hour adult/child/infant CPR course. While knowledge of classical teaching methods is preferred, we will also welcome as applicants scholars and life-long lovers and pursuers of knowledge and wisdom. Candidates must be detail-oriented; they should aim toward mastery of the following subjects: early childhood language, mathematics, and music literacy; poetry; story telling; gross and fine motor development in early childhood. Conversational Spanish language is a plus. Candidates should have strong classroom management skills and be very well organized. Schedule is 8:15 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. daily.
