On Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th of June, the great feast of Holy Pentecost, His Eminence Gabriel, Archbishop of Montreal & Canada, paid an archpastoral visit to Holy Trinity Church in Vineland, NJ, where he officiated the divine services in honor of the parish’s patronal feast.
Serving alongside the hierarch at All-Night Vigil on Saturday evening and Divine Liturgy and Great Vespers with the Kneeling Prayers on Sunday morning were parish rector Archpriest Ljubo Milosevic, Archpriest Seraphim Chemodakov (cleric of Our Lady of Kazan Church in Newark, NJ), Priest Eugene Solodky (cleric of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA), and Protodeacon Leonid Roschko (cleric of St. Vladimir Memorial Church in Jackson, NJ).
After the service, a luncheon was served in the parish hall for those in attendance, during which the students of the parish school entertained everyone with a holiday play.
The feast continued on the following day, when clergy of the New Jersey Deanery joined the parish’s patronal celebrations. Archpriest Serge Lukianov (dean) celebrated Liturgy, co-served by: Fr. Ljubo, Archpriest Luka Novakovic (rector of St. Michael Church in Philadelphia, PA), Archpriest Serge Ledkovsky (deputy rector of St. Vladimir Memorial Church), Fr. Eugene Solodky, and Priest Anthony Williams (cleric of St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Howell, NJ).
The choir sang very prayerfully. Upon completion of Liturgy, the dean congratulated the rector with the parish’s feast day and wished them continued grace from the Holy Spirit. Fr. Serge reminded everyone that this fall, the parish will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of the parish and the 35th anniversary of Fr. Ljubo’s appointment as rector. The date is tentatively set for Saturday, October 15.
