Boston, MA: Bishop Nicholas celebrates Liturgy in Holy Epiphany Church

On Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd of January, His Grace Nicholas, Bishop of Manhattan, paid an archpastoral visit to Holy Epiphany Church in Roslindale (Boston), MA to officiate the 50th anniversary celebrations of the church’s consecration. The visit was timed near the parish’s patronal feast – the great feast of the Theophany of the Lord, January 6/19.

Co-serving with the Eastern American Diocesan vicar were the parish clergy: rector Archpriest Victor Boldewskul, Archpriest Thomas Reske, and Protodeacons Joseph and Alexander Jarostchuk and Victor Ganson.

The divine services were held under the aegis of the Protectress of the Russian Diaspora – the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God – which the faithful piously venerated in the center of the church.

During Divine Liturgy, at the Little Entrance, Fr. Victor Ganson was awarded the right to wear the kamilavka.

Due to ongoing concerns relating to the coronavirus pandemic, the formal banquet was canceled, although a festal meal was prepared by the sisterhood under the direction of Natalia Efimova in the church hall.
