On Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of November, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan paid an archpastoral visit to Our Lady "Joy of All Who Sorrow" Church in Cumming (Atlanta), GA. On November 6, the parish celebrated its patronal feast day of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow."

On Saturday evening, a moleben and akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos were served before the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon, attended by a large number of the fiathful, many of whom were visiting from other parishes. His Grace then officiafted the resurrectional All-Nigth Vigil, co-served by rector Priest Eugene Antonov and parish Deacon Anton Kouznetsov. After the service, the sisterhood prepared a reception with tea, which Bishop Nicholas gladly attended and whereat he interacted with parishioners.

The following morning, His Grace celebrated Divine Liturgy, co-served by the above-mentioned clergy, as well as clerics of neigboring St. Mary of Egypt Church in Roswell (Atlanta): Archpriest Dimitri Oselinsky and Hieromonk Alexander (Lisnichuk).

Prayerfully singing the responses during the Liturgy was the parish choir. A multitude of parishioners prayed at the divine services, most of whom communed of Christ’s Holy Mysteries at Liturgy.

Upon conclusion of Liturgy, Bishop Nicholas greeted the clergy and faithful on the joyous feast. After the service, the sisterhood prepared a festal meal in the parish hall, where interaction continued between the clergy and parishioners.

The Protectress of the Russian Diaspora remained in the church until evening for veneration by the faithful, after which it departed for St. Tikhon Church in Blountville, TN.
