Beltsville, MD: Orthodox KJV Epistle Book Now Available

With the blessing of His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, Holy Apostles Church in Beltsville, MD has partnered with St. Polycarp Press to offer, for the first time, the only Orthodox Epistle Book (Apostol) using the King James Version Biblical text.

The hardcover book, which has been prepared over the course of 20 years, includes the Book of Acts and the Epistles, arranged for liturgical use according to Russian Orthodox practice. An appendix includes all relevant prokimena and readings for the whole year. The Biblical text is the King James Version, while the prokimena and alleluia verses use the text of the Holy Transfiguration Monastery Psalter.

Included in the Epistle Book are:

  • traditional introductions and outlines for each book,
  • marginal markings for the sections (pericopes) and cell readings, and
  • a monthly calendar for the Church year.

Online previews of text and cover are available here. Order online through Lulu here for $70.
