The Eastern
American Diocesan Youth Choir was formed in 2008 at St. Herman's Youth
Conference in Montreal. With the blessing of His Eminence,
Metropolitan Hilarion, the choir gathers on a semi-regular basis to
sing divine services. The goal of the choir is to gather diocesan
youth and help its members to improve as chanters both individually
and as a group, as well as familiarize them with Orthodox choral
tradition. In turn, this provides an opportunity for diocesan
youth to come together, meet one another, and spend time together. New
members are always welcome and everyone is encouraged to participate. The
choir sings in either Slavonic, English, or a mixture of both,
according to the customs of each parish.
