Kursk: Hierarchal Divine Services held at Kursk Root Hermitage & Zolotukhino Convent

On Saturday, September 23, Divine Liturgy was served at the Kursk Root Hermitage in the presence of the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign." The service was led by Metropolitan Herman of Kursk & Rylsk, co-served by Archbishop Mark of Berlin & Germany, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, and clergy of the Kursk Diocese and the Russian Church Abroad. A multitude of pilgrims prayed at Liturgy. Upon completion of the service, Metropolitan Herman presented Archbishop Mark with a set of gold vestments.

That evening, Bishop Nicholas served the All-Night Vigil in the Zolotukhino Convent of Venerable Alexis, the Man of God. The convent was opened in 1998; its founders were the former ruling bishop of Kursk, Schema-Metropolitan Juvenaly, and its first rectress, Schema-Abbess Antonia.

The travels of this holy icon – the Protectress of the Russian Diaspora – thus continue.
