NC: The Myrrh-Streaming Icon of St. Anna visited North Carolina
April 30, 2010
April 14-20, 2010, the miraculous Myrrh-Streaming Icon of St. Anna
visited the parish of the Reigning Mother of God in Charlotte, NC,
accompanied by the icon’s guardian, Archimandrite Athanasy (Mastalski).
Many faithful from several states and Orthodox jurisdictions were able
to venerate the holy icon during this visit.

Vigil on the eve of their patronal feast day at the Synodal Cathedral of
Our Lady of the Sign. The Women’s Choir was joined by guest singers

Diocese that had attended several choir rehearsals in preparation for

Sunday, April 18, the Sunday of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women, His Grace,
the Right Reverend Bishop Thomas of Charleston, Oakland, and the
Mid-Atlantic (Antiochian Orthodox Church), visited Holy Cross Monastery
in Wayne, WV. His Grace celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the local
Antiochian church, after which he then visited the monastery, where he
met with His Grace George, Bishop of Mayfield.

As you are all aware, on Monday morning, March 29, terrible terrorist
attacks were carried out in the Moscow Metro, and many of our brothers
and sisters perished. In these most holy days for every Orthodox
Christian, we grieve together with our compatriots in the Patriarchal
